Big enough to sit at home and study the area, but way too big to carry with you for a quick look when you find yourself lost on the street.

The front has a physical map of the northern portion of India including Bangladesh. There is also a city index.
The back has maps of the Delhi Metro, Dehli (with street index), Amber, Jaipur, Jaipur City Palace, Shahjahanabad, Red Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, Tajmahal, Agra, Agra Fort, Golden Triangle and a place names index.
The scale is 1:3,500,000. There is a Southern India map. Unbelievably, its scale is 1: 2,500,000! There is also one in this series that covers all of India (1:4,000,000).
General comments about the Globetrotter Travel Maps:
These Globetrotter maps measure 28″ x 39″. The fronts are really 28″ x 34″ because the left 5″ is the unfolded heavy cover. They are printed on heavy paper that should hold up well under normal use. I make use of a bound atlas that has an extensive list of cities to help me find specific places on these larger maps.
These are great for me because I read a lot of foreign authors (in translation) and want to know where the action is taking place. I have atlases, but I prefer this size. These are not substitutes for travel guides; so buy them for what they are. I have bought a dozen of these (and there are a few more I want). Their being available under Amazon’s 4 for 3 deal is a bonus.
